‪ 7: Area athletes named to Prep Volleyball’s All-America team. Clemens senior outside hitter Shelby O’Neal, the Express-News player of the year, made the first team. Signed with Arizona (indoor and beach), O’Neal racked up 566 kills, 436 digs, 73 aces and 34.5 blocks and helped the Buffaloes advance to the UIL Class 6A state tournament for the first time. Reagan junior libero Maddie Correa, Clemens senior libero Elizabeth Hill, Clark junior outside hitter Elise McGhee, Holy Cross junior outside hitter Faye Wilbricht and Alamo Heights’ Kylie Wickley and Hannah Whittingstall earned honorable mention.
